Statewide law firm specializing in the representation of public employees seeks an attorney for its legal defense practice in Encino.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills, and thrive in advocating on behalf of public safety employee clients in challenging environments. The position requires representation of clients in administrative disciplinary hearing and criminal cases, as well as participation in our 24-hour critical incident response rotation. Candidate must be a well-organized, dependable, and highly motivated professional who is able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms
- Ability to litigate cases effectively in court
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to travel regionally
- Criminal experience is a plus

$125,000 - $165,000 per year, with opportunities for bonus. Although a range is provided, salary is commensurate with experience.
