Statewide public sector labor and employment law firm seeks a litigation attorney with 0 to 7 years of experience for its Encino office.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills, and thrive in advocating on behalf of public safety employee clients in challenging environments. Interest and/or experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements, litigating grievances, unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB), and retirement claims against CalPERS preferred. The position also includes representation of clients in administrative disciplinary investigations and hearings and participation in our 24-hour critical incident response rotation.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the California State Bar
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to travel

$125,000 - $185,000 per year, with opportunities for bonus. Although a range is provided, salary is commensurate with experience.
