Reporting to the Director of Children and Family Operations, the Facilitator conducts required research as needed, is responsible for supervising staff in both the Facilitator and Self Help offices, and performing related work as required.
Incumbents in this classification must be an attorney who is an active member of the State Bar of California and possess a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the practice of law, which must include substantial family law practice and basic understanding of laws and psychological issues as it relates to domestic violence. Additionally, the incumbent must possess thorough knowledge of legal principles, precedents and their application; the use of legal reference works including case and statutory law; and the use of legal terms and procedures.
The Facilitator is also expected to appropriately apply their independent judgment and established authority towards supervising department staff; possess the ability to calmly and efficiently address complex situations and suggest and implement solutions; evaluate, promote, assign, reward or discipline staff accordingly. The Facilitator will remain onsite full time to answer in-person questions and provide assistance to the public.
Salary: $108,763 - $146,718 Annually
