The incumbent will initiate the workflow of incoming claims and process of service documents. The incumbent will act as unit support, receptionist, and data entry clerk. The incumbent will be responsible for handling and processing new claims by managing the Legal Case Management database and other Claims databases. Also responsible for but not limited to the following tasks: creating digital files, checking for completion of claims, data entry, organization, maintenance and distribution of all daily incoming and outgoing mail. Incumbent will also be responsible for closing and archiving hard copy files and preparing record transfer lists to be shipped to Archives; this may include packing and labeling of individual boxes. Incumbent will retrieve closed files from archives on as needed basis. Incumbent will be responsible for keeping the mail supplies stocked, clean, and orderly, keeping all printers, copiers, and fax machines and workstations stocked, supplied (paper, envelopes, toner, staples, paperclips, etc.), cleaned and orderly.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Office Technician (Typing) exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
