Environmental Law

Jessi Fierro has worked in the air quality field for almost 20 years. At the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District (2005-2022), her work included plan and regulatory development; civil enforcement of environmental regulations through the eight county Superior Courts of the San Joaquin Valley; federal appellate work in the Ninth and D.C. Circuits; and advising on employment and public agency issues. She currently (2023-present) serves as a Senior Attorney for the California Air Resources Board, where she supports statewide implementation of the federal Clean Air Act; regulatory development; California Climate Investments; enforcement of state regulations; and more. She is an Advisor for the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the California Lawyers Association (CLA), and represents the Environmental Law Section on the CLA Board of Representatives. Professor Fierro has also taught as an adjunct professor at Fresno City College, CSU-Fresno, and Kern County College of Law.
